Jill's Wedding

Jill Seitz was my best friend in high school and I was a bridesmaid in her June 14 wedding. Better late than never with this post! Her dress was absolutely gorgeous and these pictures don't do it justice. She surprised all of her girls with lovely monogrammed bags full of goodies that were personalized for all of us. Mine had great scrapbooking items inside and wedding day survival kits :) I hope a have a baby girl someday because this will be my next diaper bag. I LOVE IT!
Steph, Jill, and her best friend from college Katie

Right before the ceremony, isn't her bouquet lovely!

We took pictures at the church in the garden and they came out great!

I'm so happy for Jill! She had a perfect day.
This is my favorite picture of the newlyweds. Doug was a Marine and doesn't smile in pictures so you have to catch him when he's not aware of the camera. Doug and Jill have known each other since they were youth singing in the Indianapolis Children's Choir together. They were always best friends and then as the years went by that deepened to true love. That is how Jill and I met as well. I was in a different choir with ICC but then we both made show choir at our high school sophomore year and were inseparable the next 3 years.

We drove downtown in a limo for the reception and stopped at Monument Circle to take some more pictures. Jill's dress had 3 bustles.

Mama Seitz surprised us all with comfy decorated slippers to wear to dance the night away! Isn't that a great idea?

Will and I didn't really see other that day until the reception since I was in the bridal party.

I had a new updo done for the day, I just told her half up with lots of curls and this is what I got. She said it is called "The Grecian" I certainly felt like a Greek goddess for the day so that was fitting.

My parents are also friends of the bride's family so they got to attend everything as well.

Will and I haven't been dancing since my sister's wedding in 2006 so it was fun to have a night out without Ben. We left only after I couldn't feel my feet anymore.

I'M FREE, I'M FREE!!!!!!!!

I am officially done working full-time!! Benjamin starts preschool on Tuesdays and Thursdays next week. I am only going to work part-time 16 hrs a week at the baby store while he is at school and a little on Saturdays. I still teach piano 2 nights a week, but all of the rest of my time I am home with my big boy! We are having lots of fun making crafts and projects. I only wish it could've happened a little earlier so we could do more summerish things like go swimming. I am loving deep-cleaning my house which has been neglected for the past 8 months. We actually had Will's friends over on Saturday with no frantic cleaning involved and our home teachers on Sunday. Normally I would panic and try to "stash and dash" all the toys, etc off of the living room floor. But it was already done :) We started a "Good Boy Chart" and Benjamin works hard all day to earn a sticker. I've really noticed an improvement in his attitude and behavior and he is very excited to get his treat in a few days. So that's what I have been up to lately.
As for William, he is very busy and gone all day Monday - Thursday with his 2 jobs and going to the gym. But he gets to relax on Fri - Sun. I'll let him post further on that topic if he so chooses.

For Carrie: Twilight Series

I have finally jumped on the "Twilight" bandwagon. I know that my friend Carrie loved the series and after hearing my high school piano student rave about them as well I finally read them. LOVED THEM!! I didn't even realize the author was LDS either at the time. The third book "Eclipse" was my favorite. The fourth book "Breaking Dawn" comes out August 2nd so I know what I'll be doing that weekend :) Carrie I wish you were still in town so we could all go see the movie together this winter.
BTW, Ben was watching Jon and Kate Plus 8 with me the other day and was amazed by all of the brothers and sisters on the show. He told me that Fisher was his brother.

Splish Splash

On one of my recent days off we had Family Fun Day. We had breakfast together, went to the pool, had lunch together, and all in all had a perfect day. With Will's work hours it's nice that we can be together during the day when most daddies are at work. Ben still enjoys the whale slide at the kiddie pool, he is still too little for the water slides at the park.
After watching Daddy and the other big kids going off the diving board Ben was eager to try too. With no instruction from us he was doing front flips into the pool and attempting back dives (which I wouldn't allow)

Ben has perfected the belly flop!

Ben gets ready to jump and gives Mommy the go sign.

Ready, Aim....

Splash Daddy!

My Boys

Sprinkle Park

There is a park near our house that has this awesome sprinkle park that is FREE. Ben loves to run around and get wet and I don't have to worry about him drowning as our little boy is fearless at the pool! His favorite is running around underneath the big buckets and getting water dumped on him.

Ben's First Bike

Ben got an early birthday a few weeks ago, his first bicycle! It is just the right size for his and he loves going to the park to ride around the bike trail.

The Power of Prayer

The city of Indianapolis, IN is in the midst of watching a miracle take place. A family friend, Officer Jason Fishburn, was shot twice while serving an arrest warrant for a man wanted for murder (the suspect is in custody now). His vest stopped one, but he was shot in the head and remains critical in the ICU at Wishard Hospital. His father was my dad's home teaching companion and our families grew up together. Jason is 29 and married. His young age, the fact he was in surgery within an hour of the injury, the priesthood blessing given by the stake president at the hospital (stated that his living was the will of Heavenly Father) , the stakewide fast Sunday, and the tremendous outpouring of prayers from the community has led to some pretty amazed doctors. This injury is typically fatal, but Jason is out of the woods as far as the bullet goes. Of course there are other complications that could occur (infection) and his recovery will be a long one. His name has already been submitted to the First Presidency for their prayer list and several temple prayer lists. Updates on his condition have been followed well by the media and can be seen at www.wishtv.com. Please add Jason, his wife, and his family to your prayers.
