My Poor Baby

What can I say? My baby either has really bad luck, weak baby teeth, or something. He tripped and fell today on a tile floor at a store and broke off the corner of his left front tooth. This is the 3rd time he has broken part of a baby tooth. I don't know whether to laugh or cry. At least he matches and is symmetrical now? Nothing they can do about it until he is older and will hold still to let them put composite on it to reshape tooth. And the 3 dentists I've talked to don't seem to be all that worried since they are baby teeth and not the permanent ones. Ben turns 6 though this weekend and still hasn't lost any baby teeth yet. Poor Logan is going to have a unique smile for awhile!

Logan - 12 months

"Beep Beep!"
Modeling the Huggies designer diapers Mammaw bought him. Have you seen that Huggies commercial? It's hysterical "I poo in blue" the slogan is "You'll never look so cool pooping your pants"

He loves Ben's toys better than his own most of the time

He went into Ben's room and laid claim on Pooh Bear. It's his now and stays in the crib

Every baby needs a spaghetti picture!

He's all yours Daddy! Off to the bathtub

Logan's First Birthday

June 17 - Logan turns 1!! He enjoyed his angel food cake, but didn't like the CoolWhip sticking to his hands. A year has gone by SO Fast!

Mammaw and Pappaw got him his first car :) He likes climbing in and out of it

The balloons were the big hit of the night, he had a hard time focusing on new toys with balloons in the room

He loves his new pop-up toy! So far he has only mastered opening two of them on his own

I'm so glad that Mammaw, Pappaw, and Uncle Spencer were able to visit from Indiana to see the Birthday Boy!

Moving Madness

When Will was laid off in March he was very lucky to find new work quickly but his new job is in Chillicothe, MO (90 minute commute one-way from where we live now) Our lease is not quite up yet in Liberty but we wanted to move before the school year started. I found our new home in Trenton, MO (30 minutes north of Chillicothe) on the first day I went looking. The owner bought it at auction, gutted it and completely redid it. It is 2500 sq feet: 4 bedrooms, 2.5 baths, a finished basement the whole length of the house, huge yard, I could go on and on -did I mention it is actually CHEAPER than what we pay now in rent?? And the kicker is It meets almost all of my dream house checklist.
This is part of my new walk-in closet - the other part is plenty large for hanging clothes

The master bedroom used to be 2 rooms but he knocked the wall out to make it spacious and added the 1/2 bath. You can see the bathroom doorway there on the left. I have already declared it a mommy only bathroom (Will can go down the hall :) No more checking to make sure the seat is down in the middle of the night! I seriously have almost fallen in a couple of times

You know the Jerry Maguire line "You had me at "Hello". Well he had me when he said "New kitchen" on the phone :) Beautiful new cabinets and appliances and no more grungy tile floor for me!
The ledge is the 1/2 wall that is the basement stairs. I threw this picture in to show the pantry cabinet next to the fridge space. No more exposed food storage in my kitchen!

Formal dining room off of the living room and across from kitchen complete with a bored Benjamin on the new carpet. The sliding glass door leads down to a finished patio area in the backyard.

Trenton may only have a population of 6,000 - the nearest Wal-Mart is 30 minutes away!! but they do have a beautiful City Park we visited. They even had a separate baby area for Logan.

Ben will start 1st grade in August and the typical classroom size here is 16-17 students versus the 25 he had in Kansas City. I'll keep you posted on how this City Girl adjusts to living in the country - it's sure to be an adventure! Will sighed and smiled at church (branch of about 135 active members) and said "Ah, I'm home"

T-Ball Has Begun!

Ben is on the Dodgers - they play 3 innings where everybody gets to bat. His first game was very entertaining for all of the wrong reasons. I think I laughed the hardest when I looked up and saw the catcher bent down drawing shapes in the dirt as the runners came to homeplate.

Little brother Logan just loves being outside in the sun and watching the people, especially the ones who brought their dogs to the game.

For Cali

We use these and they work great. You can adjust the length so they will work on any fridge door. I think they are by Safety 1st. They are rather permanent but OH SO worth it!

10 month old Logan

This is Logan's favorite hangout place. The blinds stay up 24/7 now since he's broken them. He loves to watch the people walking their dogs, the birds, the cars, the kids getting on the bus, etc.

Almost all of the time when Logan is playing with toys he likes to kneel and be on his knees. It's a quirky baby thing that I wanted to get a picture of :)

I can't wait for Logan to start walking so he can play outside more!
